VEP Healthcare is currently seeking Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team
at Madera Community Hospital
The Facility
  • Annual patient volume 38,000+
  • Level III Emergency Department
  • 24 hours of physician
  • 36 hours of APC coverage daily - 12 hour shifts
  • 12-hour shifts
  • On call specialty services
  • Bedside ultrasound, X-ray, Lab and C.T. Scan
  • Scribes with EMR MediTech

  • Compensation & Perks
  • Physicians are Independent Contractors with a base rate per hour and flexible schedules.
  • Sign-on bonus options or relocation assistance with a two-year full time commitment to VEP at Madera Community Hospital.
  • Physicians also enjoy the benefit of becoming a shareholder after 150 hours worked which allows them to be actively involved in the governance of the company.

  • Physician Requirements
  • California Medial License
  • DEA License with California registration
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, AOBEM or APPS) AND documented 1,400 hours or 1,000 successful patient visits in the last 2 years in an AOA-HFAP or comparable accredited facility
  • -OR-
  • Board Certified in Family Practice, Internal Medicine or General Surgery AND 1,400 hours as an Emergency Department Physician or 1,000 successful Emergency Department patient visits in the last 2 years in an AOA-HFAP or comparable accredited facility
  • Current ACLS, PALS ad ATLS certifications

  • Madera Community Hospital is a 106-bed Level III Medical Center located in picturesque Madera, California. This 20-bed Emergency Department is HFAP (Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program) accredited. Physicians typically see 2.0-2.5 patients per hour. From Administration to the CEO, Nursing and techs staff everyone is fully engaged and cooperative, there is a positive synergy and great desire to provide optimal care to the patients at MCH.

  • Madera Community Hospital is a not-for-profit community health resource and is not associated with any other hospital or health system. The hospital is locally governed by a Board of Trustees which provides governance and oversight. The board is composed of over a dozen community and business leaders. The Hospital also operates two rural health care clinics and a home health agency.
